STEP-UP Chattanooga is for HCDE Public School students in grades 10 - 12.
How Does STEP-UP Work?

APPLY - Apply online. Our 2019-2020 application is live. ​ The application will remain open until we reach capacity. Please sign up early for training dates.

GET TRAINED - Participate in one mandatory work-readiness and soft skills training. (Dec. - Feb)

GET MATCHED - You will be matched with an employer based on your skills, interests, and aptitude. (March)

INTERVIEW & GET HIRED - Interview with the employer you were matched to. We guarantee an interview, but not every student will be hired. (March-April)

GET TO WORK - Work at your summer job from June to early August.

STAY CONNECTED - Participate in additional STEP-UP leadership and career focused events.

Be sure to complete your YouScience
Assessment.
When applying you will need to have an email address, know your mailing address, cell number, parent email, and parent cell.
On the application you will be asked to write a short essay on "Why I Want to Participate in STEP-UP Chattanooga."
