JOB DESCRIPTION & WORKSITE AGREEMENT

Employers identify potential summer work opportunities within their companies. Complete & submit a form for each different internship position at your organization.

INTERN PLACEMENT

Students are nominated by Hamilton County Schools counselors/college and career advisors to apply to STEP-UP Chattanooga. Interns receive work-readiness training in preparation to interview for internships at your company.

INTERN SUPERVISOR & HUMAN RESOURCES ORIENTATION

Our staff works closely with your company/organization to match the skills and interests of our interns with your organization's specific needs. We provide ongoing support to interns and supervisors to ensure success.

COMPANY/ORGANIZATION HIRES

Employers interview the intern candidates and make the final hiring decision. We'll provide more candidates, if needed.

INTERNSHIP START

Internships typically run

6 - 8 weeks, at least 20 hours per week but you can customize the experience. Interns are paid at least minimum wage.

INTERNSHIP ENDS

Come celebrate with hundreds of STEP-UP interns, supervisors, & community leaders for successful summer.
