STEP-UP CHATTANOOGA INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

HOW COMMUNITY & SCHOOL LEADERS CAN SUPPORT THEIR YOUTH:

WHAT: STEP-UP Chattanooga is an internship program for current 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from Hamilton County schools.

WHO: To be eligible, the applicant must: live in Hamilton County, be a current 10th, 11th, 12th grade student from Hamilton County , 16 yrs-old by May 1, 2017, and NOT currently enrolled in college. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Income Guidelines:

STEP-UP uses the following chart as a GUIDELINE to determine if a student is eligible for our program. This is a guideline only. If a student is unsure if they qualify, please encourage them to apply!

 

Your family's income should be at or below these levels.

WHY: STEP-UP Chattanooga interns receive job training and then work, for pay, at Chattanooga businesses and nonprofit organizations to gain job experience, explore career interests, and build professional skills.

WHEN: The online only application deadline is: Thursday, December 1, 2016. APPLICANTS MUST CHECK THEIR EMAIL REGULARLY FOR UPDATES. Training begins on Saturday, January 7th for some students. For students who complete training, and are placed in a job, work begins early June 2017 and ends in August 2017.

WHERE: The training will take place at a venue designated by STEP-UP CHATTANOOGA.
